COMPOSER - PIANIST - VOCALIST - SONGWRITER
David Paul Jones is commonly known as 'DPJ'. His soundworld explores a variety of acoustic/digital styles and forms from solo piano music, songs and larger scale vocal works, to ambient music and sound designs for theatre. Central to his work as a composer is a dedication to contemporary song-writing. As a vocalist his live performances often include striking re-interpretation of classic songs alongside his own material. His international profile includes projects and performances throughout Europe and worldwide in Australia, USA, Middle East, South America and currently in China. He was awarded the prestigious Glenfiddich Spirit Of Scotland Award for Music 2011. He is based in Edinburgh where he is also a private piano and music teacher.
