David Paul Jones is commonly known as 'DPJ'. His soundworld explores a variety of acoustic/digital styles and forms from solo piano music, songs and larger scale vocal works, to ambient music and sound designs for theatre. Central to his work as a composer is a dedication to contemporary song-writing and the re-interpretation of classic songs. His theatre work includes a prolific series of soundtracks and live performances with multi-award winning theatre companies: National Theatre of Scotland, Grid Iron, Catherine Wheels and Cryptic. His international profile includes projects and performances throughout Europe and worldwide in Australia, USA, Middle East, South America and recently with National Theatre Of China. He was awarded the prestigious Glenfiddich Spirit Of Scotland Award for Music 2011. He is based in Edinburgh where he is also a private piano and music teacher.
