Vocal works and songwriting make up a large body of his catalogue, including solo songs and choral works for soprano Lisa Milne and National Youth Choir Of Scotland. In 2000 he introduced his own singing voice and style with the creation of SOMETHING THERE, recorded on Linn records and featuring his contemporary classical group DPJ ENSEMBLE. Since then his vocal performance has remained a central role in his stage, concert and recording work. Song collections include his acclaimed seafaring song-cycle PALMSTAR POPPY.

His international portfolio includes festival performances throughout Europe, South America and the Sydney Festival Australia. His international collaborations include projects in USA, Middle East and Brasil. He is currently writing the soundtrack for The Green Snake with the National Theatre Of China which will premiere at the 2013 Hong Kong Arts Festival.
